Putuo Village is a 43 acre area dedicated to the Buddhist religion. The area is built like a park where every part tells a different story about the religion. Many people visit this place not just for religious purposes but for the scenic view they can capture through their camera lens.

Inside the temple, you will find that there are 12 Buddhist patrons for each of the 12 zodiac signs. If you are interested the people there will gladly enlighten you on any questions you have regarding the religion.

Just outside Guanyin Hall, you will find a huge tree covered with hanging red strings. This is known as the Wishing Tree. Inside the temple, devotees write their wishes/prayer intentions on a piece of paper, and the paper is wrapped up with a yellow cloth first, and tied together with the red cloth and a lime. They then bring it out and try to throw it up high onto this tree. It is said that the higher your wishes are thrown, the higher chances of it coming true.

In most parts of this village, the walls and ceilings are beautifully painted with religious art and quotes for visitors to enjoy as they walk along the area.
